CVE-2022-39348 is a medium-severity flaw (CVSS 5.4) affecting twisted, debian linux. Below: why it ranks where it does, which versions are affected, what to do, and the exact commands.

Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications. Started with version 0.9.4, when the host header does not match a configured host `twisted.web.vhost.NameVirtualHost` will return a `NoResource` resource which renders the Host header unescaped into the 404 response allowing HTML and script injection. In practice this should be very difficult to exploit as being able to modify the Host header of a normal HTTP request implies that one

twisted twisted UPGRADE
Affected: >= 0.9.4 and < 22.10.0
Fixed in: 22.10.0
Safe to downgrade to: a release before 0.9.4
1. Check installed version
apt-cache policy twisted || rpm -q twisted || twisted --version
2. UPGRADE to 22.10.0 (Debian / Ubuntu)
sudo apt update && sudo apt install --only-upgrade twisted
2. UPGRADE (RHEL / Amazon Linux / Fedora)
sudo dnf upgrade twisted
Note
Distros often backport fixes without changing the version number. Confirm with the distro advisory or changelog.
3. If no update is available yet, DOWNGRADE to a release before 0.9.4 (Debian / Ubuntu)
apt-cache madison twisted sudo apt install twisted=<VERSION_BEFORE_0.9.4> sudo apt-mark hold twisted
3. If no update is available yet, DOWNGRADE (RHEL / Amazon Linux / Fedora)
dnf --showduplicates list twisted sudo dnf downgrade twisted-<VERSION_BEFORE_0.9.4> sudo dnf versionlock add twisted
Downgrade risk
Downgrading can break dependent software and may reopen older bugs. Read the distro advisory first and test on a non-production host.
After downgrade
Restart the service, and keep the package held until a fixed release ships.
