CVE-2025-12735 is a critical-severity flaw (CVSS 9.8) affecting javascript expression evaluator, javascript expression evaluator. Below: why it ranks where it does, which versions are affected, what to do, and the exact commands.

The expr-eval library is a JavaScript expression parser and evaluator designed to safely evaluate mathematical expressions with user-defined variables. However, due to insufficient input validation, an attacker can pass a crafted context object or use MEMBER of the context object into the evaluate() function and trigger arbitrary code execution.

Why this priority

  • Critical severity
  • CISA SSVC: public proof of concept
  • CISA SSVC: automatable with total technical impact
  • Remotely exploitable, no login, no user action

A fixed release or distro patch exists.
