CVE-2026-34992 is a high-severity flaw (CVSS 7.5) affecting antrea. Below: why it ranks where it does, which versions are affected, what to do, and the exact commands.

Antrea is a Kubernetes networking solution intended to be Kubernetes native. Prior to 2.4.5 and 2.5.2, a missing encryption vulnerability affects inter-Node Pod traffic. In Antrea clusters configured for dual-stack networking with IPsec encryption enabled (trafficEncryptionMode: ipsec), Antrea fails to apply encryption for IPv6 Pod traffic. While the IPv4 traffic is correctly encrypted via ESP (Encapsulating Security Payload), traffic using IPv6

Fixed in: 2.4.5, 2.5.2
Safe to downgrade to: a release before 2.5.0
1. Check installed version
apt-cache policy antrea || rpm -q antrea || antrea --version
2. UPGRADE to 2.4.5 (Debian / Ubuntu)
sudo apt update && sudo apt install --only-upgrade antrea
2. UPGRADE (RHEL / Amazon Linux / Fedora)
sudo dnf upgrade antrea
Note
Distros often backport fixes without changing the version number. Confirm with the distro advisory or changelog.
3. If no update is available yet, DOWNGRADE to a release before 2.5.0 (Debian / Ubuntu)
apt-cache madison antrea sudo apt install antrea=<VERSION_BEFORE_2.5.0> sudo apt-mark hold antrea

dnf --showduplicates list antrea sudo dnf downgrade antrea-<VERSION_BEFORE_2.5.0> sudo dnf versionlock add antrea
Downgrade risk
Downgrading can break dependent software and may reopen older bugs. Read the distro advisory first and test on a non-production host.
After downgrade
Restart the service, and keep the package held until a fixed release ships.
